Cartier inaugurated the 100th anniversary of Trinity in February 2024 with a celebration in New York.
Following additional global celebrations in London, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo, the collection’s centennial concludes in North America with a Miami pop-up taking place from Wednesday 4 – Sunday 8 December.
The Trinity 100 experience highlights the rich history of the iconic collection, taking visitors from present day back to 1924, when Louis Cartier designed the first piece of Trinity jewelry; a single ring with three intertwined bands of platinum, rose gold, and yellow gold.
The experience is comprised of five unique spaces, which collectively tell the story of Trinity and its place in Cartier’s history.
A room dedicated to Jean Cocteau — who popularised the collection in the 1930s with his now iconic double-stacked pinky rings — and another to Trinity’s place in pop culture throughout time.
A third space pays homage to the number three, a pattern that repeats itself throughout the Maison’s history and creations.
The immersion into the world of Trinity continues with an exploration of the collection’s precise yet poetic design, including a showcase of jewelry and objects from the Cartier collection, Cartier’s curated archive of more than 3,000 of the most outstanding pieces created by the Maison throughout its history.
Trinity’s instantly recognisable three-gold configuration has allowed for the collection’s reinvention time and time again, including the Maison’s 2022 collaboration with Chitose Abe, founder and creative director of Sacai, and the introduction of the cushion shape in 2024.
To conclude Trinity’s 100th anniversary, Cartier will exclusively launch a series of Trinity novelties in North America on 1 December.
The limited collection integrates animal motifs in five new iterations of Trinity, including a two-finger ring and a single earring.
Steeped in the heritage of the Maison, the collection references Cartier’s iconic panther bestiary, in addition to the tiger and the snake.
The collection will launch globally on 1 February 2025.
After immersing themselves in the world of Trinity, visitors will have the opportunity to try on creations from the collection.
Trinity 100 will be open to the public at 23 NE 41st St Miami, FL, from 4-8 December 11:00am – 9:00pm.
Visitors will be able to reserve a timeslot for complimentary admission on the Cartier website.
